Frank's Devlog #3


Here's yet another update to Purp v. Green! Most of the updates involves me working on the menu and sound effects for the project:

  • Added a completely functional menu (not final design, of course). Start Game gets you straight to the game without preparation.
  • Implemented a ButtonManager script to add more options to the menu.
  • Created a UI Canvas in the game screen. Currently displays text saying "timer".
  • Began using the Bfxr application to create placeholder sounds for the game alongside Art Designer, Daniel Baez. Sounds for footsteps and paint action created so far.

I have made additional updates to our GDD reflecting the changes made to the game. Extra discussions talking about the action button will take place during the upcoming week.4
